Like A Child

When Jesus said whoever does not receive the Kingdom of God as a little child cannot enter it, what did he mean?

Think about little children --- innocence, non judgment of themselves and others, an intrinsic joy, seeing the world through the eyes of wonder and amazement, staying in the moment, enjoying the very simple things like playing pretend games, no worry or fear, loving unconditionally. This is how each of us is born until we are "indoctrinated" by our parents beliefs and fears and others in the world.
We learn that we cannot love unconditionally, that we can't trust everyone, that the world is to be feared in some way, that life is not this magical existence --- how very sad for each of us.

But life is this magical existence, because behind all the appearance of hate, evil, and greed, lies Love, lies wonder, lies the joy that you have and are by virtue of your Oneness with God and the kingdom that He has given you.

For it is only your perceptions and beliefs, your self judgment, that blocks your recognition that He is expressing through you and that your joy is His Joy.

Authentic Love

We were created by God, from God, out of Love. So that this Love relationship is authentic and given freely from us to Him, we were given free Will to Love Him or reject Him. Parts of the One have rejected Him, but this is a process of coming back in our recognition to that which we never left. As we desire to align our Will with His, as we see that only His Will exists --- for He is all that exists --- we come back in our recognition and remembrance, as Jesus did.

In the end all parts of the One will return for the call of Love is greater than anything else. Only Love exists.

Escaping Your Problems

Many people look to enlightenment or to leave the earth and go to Heaven to solve their problems, but this is misplaced thinking.

Enlightenment is only a recognition of what you already have and are --- it is your false beliefs which prevent you from seeing this. Heaven is not some place that is "away" from you --- Jesus told us it is within and around us and we can have it now. People want enlightenment or to go to a "better place" as an escape. They don't want to face their problems and life has become overwhelming to them.

But you can't wish away your problems, and you can't be "enlightened" or "go to Heaven" without embracing them, which ironically then transforms them. You can't make the recognition of what is already there without embracing ALL, and this includes your "problems."

Once you move to a vision of Unity, of non resistance, of accepting ALL, you create an opening so that Truth can flow through you --- this is your Divine nature. Then your "problems," what you wanted to escape from, no longer appear in the same light they did before. But in order for all this to happen, you can't try to escape or stuff or judge as "bad" what you don't want to deal with.

For They Know Not What They Do

When Jesus said, "Forgive them Father, for they not what they do," he was saying something purely for our benefit. First, he had no need to voice it, and more importantly, God is a God of forgiveness and Love. He automatically forgives because He sees past our errors to His holy and blessed child who is One with Him and whom He loves so dearly.

So why did Jesus say this? The key is in the words "for they know not what they do." Regardless of one's words, actions, or thoughts, everyone is One with God and His Love. This cannot nor will never change. This Oneness gives us the Kingdom and establishes us as Love, eternally. Love is all that exists, as God is all that exists, and we are inseparable from that.

We must "see past" the actions and words of another to the Love within, for this is who they truly are. This is true for the person who cuts you off in traffic, to the partner who cheated on you and broke your heart, to the friend who betrayed you, to the mass murderer.

This is key --- if you cannot release the judgment, see past the "sins" of another to the Love within, you will not be able to release self judgment and see past your "sins" to the Love that you are.

"They know not what they do" simply refers to ignorance, a lack of understanding within a person as to their divinity and thus the truth that they would not commit these errors if they truly knew who they are. For you would never intentionally hurt another if you knew your Oneness and Unity. Why would you do something which harms you?

The Christ Within

The idea of accepting Christ has been misinterpreted as accepting something/someone outside of you that gets you back to God. There is nothing outside of you --- how can there be when God is One, God is All.

Christ is within you --- not the historical person named Jesus who came to know His Oneness --- but the essence that is God's Son and of which we are all a part (as was Jesus who made this recognition).

You are not a body of flesh and ego/personality thoughts. You are THE Son/Daughter/Child of God. Accepting Christ means returning to the recognition that as God's Son, you are Love (the Christ) as God is Love. This is what Jesus came to show you --- that what he did you can do as well, and he told you this!

What Is Your Definition of Sin?

When we say that God is One, it means that He is All that exists. You are not separate from Him nor anything else that you "see" despite appearances to the contrary.

Thus if sin exists, God must be sinful. Or is it possible, that you see yourself as sinful and He does not? Is it possible that what you see as sinful and permanent, He sees as a temporary error that occurs in a dream of separation?

If you were to ask 1000 people their definition of sin, you would get 1000 different answers. Someone might say anything that goes against God's Will, but we have already shown that nothing exists outside of His Will. Someone might say that murder is a sin, but what if the murder became a great healing tool of forgiveness and awakening to God's Love for both the murderer and the close relatives of the person murdered? This has happened many times. Would your defining that murder as a sin be more right than the actual people involved? How bad does something have to be before you consider it a "sin?" Even your definition of sin will change as your beliefs change. Anything temporal is not of God. Everything we experience is temporal.

Love looks past --- it does not have conditions --- that is why it is called unconditional. Sin and Love cannot both exist, and they don't.

The Kingdom of God

Each of us sees the Kingdom of God to a different degree depending on how strongly we apply our belief system to what we see. For the stronger you believe that the experiences you have had and the roles/identities you have played are real, the more you will apply your beliefs and judgments to the appearance of the world, believing it is real and obscuring the Kingdom.

The more you understand that these experiences and roles are not really you, that they are something temporary you chose to help you learn and remember, the more flexible your beliefs will become and the less judgment you will apply to what you see in the world. When judgment disappears, the Kingdom of God shines forth.
