Why do you wait?

Why do you wait? You can love God with all of your heart and being, right now. Give yourself over to Him, fully and unconditionally. Do not delay, because you only delay your joy. Without Him, you experience hell. With Him, you are in Heaven. Why would you choose to be dead in hell over a living Heaven?

Authentic Relationship

An authentic relationship is one where each person is secure in who they are and knows that they would still be that way, even if the other person was no longer in their life. In an authentic relationship, there are no games played, and there is complete honesty. There is immense gratitude for what the other person gifts them with in the relationship, but they live in the present moment, and again, if the other person were gone tomorrow, there would no regrets and this would have no effect on who they are. It is a given that if a person were able to interact in a relationship from this standpoint, they would have a strong recognition of their Oneness with God, because they are truly seeing God in their partner and in themselves. In order to know God, you have to release all falsehoods, which is authenticity. You may be thinking that Jesus would have to be in a relationship with Jesus to have full authenticity, and while this may be true, it is important to know the goal that you are reaching for.

Grief and Sadness

There are many men, and some women, who are afraid of crying or resistant to it. They do not want to be seen as vulnerable, as society says they should be strong, especially the men. Strength comes from knowing who you are, and you cannot know this when you do not express your full range of emotions. In the Kingdom there is only joy, but as we make our way to full recognition of the Kingdom, we exist in this dream world where it is important to express your sadness and to grieve when a person or an animal you love dies. It is also important to grieve when you leave something where you have invested a lot of yourself, such as a relationship or a job. When we allow ourselves to express sadness or grief, we are not vulnerable, we are powerful. A man or a woman who does not let society dictate how they should feel and what they should express is authentic. Authenticity means we are completely open, and when we are open, God can express through us. When we allow ourselves to grieve and express sadness, we are alive. If we stuff our grief or sadness, it doesn't go away. It is still in there, affecting every thing you do and clogging your vessel so you can't feel the joy of the Kingdom.

Renewal

Just as the trees drop their leaves in the fall so that they can renew themselves, you must also drop all that does not serve you so you can be renewed. Winter is a time of quiet and introspection when the new buds of Life are formed. If you have renewed yourself, when spring arrives you blossom with the most amazing vibrancy and color.

Perfection

When Jesus commanded us to be perfect as our Father in Heaven, we learned something very important. We can reach perfection! In fact, how can we not be perfect when we were created by God, who is perfect. But what is perfection? How loving do you have to be? How smart, how spiritual? What spoken words constitute perfection? If you get fifty people in a room, you will have fifty versions of what is considered perfection. Since there is no universal definition of perfection, maybe perfection is just where you are at. We just have to recognize it. Everything in this world is an appearance. But behind all appearances is God, is perfection. As we strive to do things "better" (become more loving, etc.), we must also recognize the perfection of where we are at. Therein lies the paradox.

Peak Experience

We don't need to risk our physical life to have a peak experience. We don't need to climb Mt. Everest, drive a race car, or push our body close to death in some contest. Similarly, we don't need to compromise our spiritual and emotional being to have that peak experience from receiving adulation and being put on a pedestal by the world for our accomplishments or fame. He, He alone is your peak experience. What everyone longs for and searches for does not have to be found on top of a mountain. It can be found there, but it can also be found in your bedroom, or the grocery store, or the hospital, or the amusement park. Wherever you are, He is at, and you can access that "peak experience" at will.
