What is Seen in Animals

Why are certain people drawn so strongly to animals and their pets in particular? Animals have no ego, and they reflect back to us a God Consciousness that is hard to see in our fellow humans who are sheathed in ego. But when we see God in our animals, we must use that as a stepping stone. We cannot stop there. Once we recognize God in something "outside" of ourselves, we need to bring that back in and recognize the same in our Self. Through a recognition of Unity, of the One, we come to discover the treasure that is waiting to be uncovered inside of us. Our fellow humans who no longer operate from an ego consciousness, few as they may be, afford us the same reflection of God as do animals. When you are in the presence of a great saint, such as Mother Teresa or the Dalai Lama, you feel the holiness, the peace that surrounds and flows from them. But what you must recognize is that this is in you and in all people, regardless of their appearance, regardless of their ego and personality, regardless of their words and actions, regardless of everything that is illusory and which passes away at the death of the body.

Like Little Children to Enter Heaven

When Jesus said that only those who were like little children would enter heaven, he was referring to innocence and non judgment. Judgment is the biggest attribute of the ego. When we judge, we cannot see the Unity of all that is. If you come from judgment, come from the ego, you will not "see" heaven. Heaven is within, but our judgment cuts us off from recognizing this. When we judge others, we are really judging ourself. We are not to become like little children in a physical state but rather our mental state. When we see from unity, we see with wonder, innocence, gratitude, and awe. These are attributes of how a child looks at the world until they are "taught" by adults to judge and to see the world as a harsh or evil place. Each of us can return to that innocence and that wonder, opening the doors of heaven.

Spiritual Relationships

There are no accidental meetings. You draw to you everyone you encounter, whether that be a very "minor" passing on the street encounter or a lifelong relationship. All of these encounters have the purpose of helping you to remember who you really are. As you see your Self (for there is only the One), as you see God, this spurs your remembrance. In this dream you have agreed with everyone you encounter to serve this role for them, as they serve this role for you. There is no other purpose than remembrance. You may think there are other purposes, such as interacting with someone to make money, to provide a worldly service, to be your spouse, etc. but these are only appearances. These are only the vehicles or the forms used to interact with that other person so that each of you can remember that you are Love and that you were created by God out of Love. This is true whether another person exhibits love or "anger/hate" at you, because hate, which is the appearance of the absence of Love, can be a form which is equally as good a teacher as its opposite. The form or vehicle has no meaning other than to help you remember. When you see with this true vision, you experience great gratitude and joy, because you realize what is being done for you, and you know that only Unity exists.

What Role Do You Play In The Dream?

Are you just a figure in a dream or the dreamer of the dream? If you are the former, then everything that happens to you is out of your control. Random events and random people interact with you. If you are the dreamer of the dream, you create your own reality. Everything occurs as you want it to occur, as you have created it, and there is nothing random. There is no middle ground between being a figure in a dream and being the dreamer. You are either one or the other. In one you have complete power, and in the other you have complete powerlessness. In one you have only fear, because anything can be done to you, and in the other you have the certainty and the peace of God.

Sin, Separation, Judgment, Unity, etc

What do sinlessness, anger, judgment, beliefs, differences, fear, separation, and unity all have in common? What is the thread that runs through them? Let's make it very easy. There exists only unity and the belief in an absence of unity (separation) --- i.e anger, judgment, differences, fear, sin (absence of sinlessness). Those I just listed are a byproduct of a mind which believes in separation. From this mind comes all beliefs. Most people classify some beliefs as good (i.e belief in God, belief in Love) and bad (anger, judgment, fear, sin, etc.). But all beliefs comes from a mind which believes this world, this illusion is real. When we believe in something (some thing), we are automatically reinforcing separation, because this some thing is "outside" of us. Unity, by definition, reflects no differences. Either we are unified as One with God and everything, or we are separate. There is no middle ground --- you can't be partially unified, nor can you be unified completely just some of the time. So the choice simply comes down to whether you believe in unity or separation from God. If you believe in unity, and there is no partiality as I just stated, what doed that mean for you? Think about that. Unity confirms that God is One, and you are part of that Oneness. So when you look around the world and you see differences everywhere, from what mind are you thinking --- the Mind of God (because you are One with that), or an ego mind?

Remember, no partiality. So if you see differences, and I would bet that you do, how can that be? Well, you must be seeing with a mind that is not real. Just because you see that way all the time, and everyone around you affirms this way of seeing, doesn't mean that this is Truth. How does this false mind exist? It exists because you believe in it. We are cocreaters with God, and we were created from thought by God. Since you are part of the Oneness, your thought is very powerful, whether you are creating from the Mind of God or whether you are miscreating. When you withdraw your belief in what is false, the ego mind falls away and you are left with who you truly are. In unity there is only the One. There are no differences. This means that there is no categorizing, no judgments (no sin, no fear, no anger, etc.). And there are no beliefs, because there is nothing outside of you. There is only the One.

Now you are probably saying that you cannot reach this "high" state. But this is not a "high" state (remember there are no differences). More importantly, how can you not reach something that you already are? You expend a great deal of energy being something that you are not. It is easy being who you are --- just be it. What exists in this unified or"flatline" state? Well, what exists is the absence of belief (sin, judgment, etc.), which is joy, peace, and immense Love, because you see your Self, you see God, all around you.
