Drop the Expectations

You get angry at someone because they fail to fulfill your expectations. They fail to do what you expect them to do. What a burden that is on them, and on you.

Transformation

Most people would not describe a caterpillar as a beautiful creature, but in God, all things are possible. The caterpillar climbs a tree to go high (raises its God consciousness) before forming a cocoon. To recreate itself, it goes inside itself --- a cocoon gives you a protective barrier to literally recreate yourself. You must do the same to recreate yourself in His image. The change that the caterpillar makes is literally at a DNA level. It becomes a liquid goo before reforming as a butterfly. Then before the butterfly takes flight, it must build strength by breaking out of the cocoon. This is the strength of your Will in wanting to come back to Him. When the butterfly breaks through, it is not only beautiful, but it flies with grace, effortlessly. It flies high and low, showing the bond between Heaven and Earth. It also now has antenna which help it navigate the world --- it is in the world but not of it. And it brings great pleasure to those who encounter it, just as you bring great pleasure to those who encounter you when you have become a new vessel through which He moves and shines.

Guilt Serves No Purpose

Guilt serves no purpose except to keep you in a separated mind where no joy is present. Guilt always relates to something in the past, so you never reach the joy of the present moment. If you feel guilty, simply use that as a recognition that you want to do it different the next time, and then let the guilt go.

Tired of the Struggle

There is no need to struggle. You create the struggle by trying to be something different than you are, by not realizing who you are, by trying to change yourself, someone else, or God. You create all of the conflict that happen within you, and what is "inside" is reflected "outside" of you in your experiences and relationships. If you are tired of struggling, recognize the source, and ask for His help in surrendering.

Answers Lie Within You

You have all the answers you will ever need inside of you. There is no one who can give you answers that are "right" for you except yourself, and if someone tries to tell you otherwise, walk away from them.

Superior and Inferior

When you have God's joy, you see with His vision, and there is not judgment present in the sense of something being superior and another thing being inferior. For He is ALL. What you see as superior and inferior is unique to you alone and does not exist except in your own mind. You have made these classifications, created these differences.

Love with His Love

What is it that we hold back on, that we are most afraid of? Fully loving, unconditionally loving, loving with the Love of God. This opens us up to the possibility of being hurt. We fear this like being the emperor with no clothes. But this is what we must do to fully know Him. This is what we must do to fully have His peace and joy.

Memory of God

Memory of God lies within you. There is nothing you have to do except surrender your false beliefs about Him, and your remembrance will rise to your consciousness.

True Joy

Joy is innate. If you are seeking something outside yourself to be happy, this is not His joy. For what you seek outside of yourself to become happy --- money, fame, looks, power, position, relationships, stimulants, thrills --- can as easily go away as they can be acquired. What a blessing that true joy cannot be so transient! Anytime you seek outside of yourself for answers, for Him, for completion, you will never find it.

God Leading You

Let God lead you. Don't make assumptions or have preconceived notions, because then you are trying to lead God.

How Do You Identify Yourself?

How do you identify yourself --- as a human being, child of God? Or do you identify yourself as an American, lawyer, homemaker, Republican/Democrat, etc? Many may say both the former and the latter, but with the latter we need to examine the roles we serve and the groups we identify with. What needs to be examined is how closely you become this role or identify with this group. Because when you are an American or a Democrat, you are also not something else ---you are not a Mexican or a Republican. Unity does not exclude. God is ALL. So when we identify ourselves as a child of God or a human being, we are reinforcing unity, we are living in the highest perspective. Now, you are always going to be from a certain country or fill a certain role, but these can simply be designations, not something that you believe in to separate yourself from others.

Self Observation

Through self observation of your reactions and how you interact in your relationships, how you try to control situations, you can learn a great deal about who you really are. And this will lead to joy.

Knowledge Versus Knowing

Knowledge is learning of the world. We acquire knowledge. Our knowing is innate --- because we are One with Him. It is not learned. It is revealed and remembered.

Relationship to Relationship

The need to be loved, by your spouse/significant other, your kids, any human being, the world, this need stems from your belief that you are not lovable. The degree to which this belief is held is the degree to which you seek Love outside of yourself. God, as always, is the answer. For the more you know His Love, the more you have self Love, and the less you seek outside of yourself. When you don'
t feel His Love, you desperately seek that Love outside of yourself to validate that you are lovable and to fill the hole of longing for that Love. These are the people you see who go from relationship to relationship seeking to find one that will fulfill them and give them this Love, but this will never happen as long as they search outside themselves for His Love.

What Gives You True Joy

Recognize what brings you joy. Joy does not go away. It is not the excitement that ebbs and flows with the toys and trinkets of the world. That is ego based. True joy comes from God. True joy comes when we are just who we are, not some false identity that we pretend to be in this false world. True joy is natural --- it is our birthright. There is nothing we have to do to feel it except stop pretending to be something false. When we are a clear vessel for God, joy arises naturally, because we give selflessly, without taking away from ourself. We are powered by an endless Source, our Father. This is what Love does --- it gives of Itself endlessly. It is very simple. Recognize what gives you true joy and then do more of that.

Do You Live in Fear?

Do you want to be one of those people who are safe in life, doing the same thing over and over, living in fear of death and God, or do you want to really live? If you want to live, you have to accept what He brings to you. You may not like the form --- you may be financially poor or have bad health for a time --- but you will be experiencing the awe and wonder of life and living often in His peace and joy. You can say yes to this at any time, but you really have to want it. And if you do, you must be prepared to let go of everything that does not serve you, starting with your beliefs, especially judgment

Beauty

What is beauty? Surely it is not just an outward appearance that follows what society thinks is beautiful. Could beauty be so transient? Beauty is innate. It is self evident when seen with the eyes of God. Appearances change, but beauty remains. Beauty does not need to be announced or bragged about. If someone needs to do that, they don't realize their innate beauty. A rose is beautiful, not only because it is a pretty flower when it blooms, but because it proclaims its God essence always, even when it is dying. Regardless of your looks, your age, your physical or mental condition, you are beautiful, because God shines through you.

Fear of Death

Most people, whether they recognize it or not --- whether it is an aware thought or an unconscious one --- have a fear of death. If we are thinking about dying, we are not living, are we? We are not present in the holy now, allowing the River of Life to bring its amazing blessings and wonder. We are in the future, worrying about something that we have no idea when will happen, worrying about a "change" that will not affect the truth of the eternalness and glory that we are.

Alone or Lonely?

There is a great difference in being alone and being lonely. If you don't know yourself, you don't know Him, and you are always lonely. These are the people who must constantly be doing something or with somebody. If you know yourself and know Him, you are never lonely, regardless of whether you are alone or with other people.

A Way of Condemning Yourself?

Do you notice if you self judge or hate yourself when you don't live up to the expectations or standards you have for yourself? Where do these standards come from? They were formed somewhere --- they just didn't pop into your being out of thin air. You have accumulated these standards through your experiences and through what others and society have told you, either directly or implied. What would you be if you dropped these standards and expectations that are unique to you alone? Can you even live up to the standards you have for yourself, or is it like a gerbil on an exercise wheel, always spinning but going nowhere? Have you purposefully set your standards so high that you cannot reach them as a way of always failing and then condemning yourself?

What You Can Control

You can't control what someone else does. All you can control is your reaction to it.

Tuesday, October 09, 2012

Talking to God

How do you approach God in prayer or holy communion? Do you come to Him in fear or in Love? You can't be in the middle, some of both, for if you come with any fear, it is all fear. If we come in fear, how can we know Him? He is a God of Love, not fear. We must drop this false belief that He will punish us and know that He created us to love us. We are His Beloved, His Bride. What we see and believe through the eyes of the ego is fear, not Love. His Love redeems us, cleanses us of all fear and false belief.

Colored Glasses

Any bias you have serves as colored glasses which do not allow you to remain fully open to His Kingdom. A bias limits you --- you think it protects you, and you hold on to it like it is gold --- but it limits you from seeing the infinite expansiveness that is God.

Change Is The Only Constant

Do you notice how everything in the world has a cycle of life and death, of renewal, of impermanence? Change is the only constant. Many people want things to be permanent --- their youth, their looks, their power, their position, their relationships --- but this is not living life. This is believing in and attaching to something that is temporary and false. Only He is permanent. Only His Love is permanent. This permanence, this changelessness, underlies everything that we see that is changing. Only by recognizing and not being attached to the impermanent can we recognize and know our Oneness with the permanent.

The Now is God Space

To live in the now means to live as if you have no past. The now is God space. This is where you reside with Him, eternally in His Love. When you have no past, you are not conditioned by nor are you a product of what happened to you. These are only experiences that happened in your dream, not who you truly are. If you don't have a past, who are you?

Friday, October 05, 2012

Conditioning

You are a product of conditioning. You grew up around parents or adults who told you certain things about life, about people, all told through their biases, prejudices, and fears, and you believed these things, because that's what children do. You also grew up in a society that told you certain things, made certain things look glamorous or fun or boring or hideous, worthwhile or non worthwhile, and you believed these things. As an adult, you have choices that you did not have as a child. Will you break free of parental and societal conditioning? Will you break free of limiting beliefs, for God cannot be limited? What happens to you if you do break free? If you no longer hold limiting beliefs, then you will know your Oneness with Him.

Awaken From the Dream

Romans 13: 11-12 And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. There fore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Ephesians 5:14 Therefore He says: "Awake, you who sleep. Arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light."

It is time for each of us to awaken from this dream. For when you are in a dream, and you don't realize that you are the dreamer of the dream and can change it, you have fear. And there is great fear in the world, because people do not realize they are in a dream. Do you think this world, the people, the events, the wars, the hatred is real? Do you think that a God, who is Love, could create such a world? Will you still believe you are in the darkness, in the night, or do you see the new dawn that is coming? Awaken from your dream, for if you don't, you will eventually become paralyzed with fear.

Anger

Many people are afraid to express their anger. They believe, falsely, that if they open up to it, it will overpower them and control them and it will be with them forever. Ironically, by trying to keep it bottled up, it does control them, because it expresses in several ways that can make for a living hell. Their anger often comes out sideways --- similar to how boiling water sometimes runs over t
he side of a pot. They become angry in random situations and at people they often don't want to hurt and for which they feel guilty when they do. They are not really angry at the "outer" circumstances or person. This is only a trigger which reminds them and brings up the anger they have buried that is related to something in the past, often from childhood. Do you notice how these people constantly "spill" over the pot and get angry at random things? The only way to release the anger is to go to the true source of it.

The second way that unexpressed anger can make for a living hell is with depression. If you are a person who never gets mad, who believes that anger is "bad," this will cause depression as that anger is turned inward. Do not be afraid of your anger. If you are expressing it sideways, like the boiling pot, you do have a responsibility to not hurt others with this sideways anger and to go to the source. Also, do not be afraid of anger at God. He can take it --- He welcomes it, because clearing out these old patterns and false beliefs, especially those you have around Him, brings you closer to Him. Remember, God is Love, an emotion. We have to be able to process, authentically express, and release when appropriate, ALL of our emotions, "good" and "bad," to know Him.

Unwinding Fear

All of your fears originate with a thought or a belief, which are the same, the only difference being in whether it is a conscious thought, something which you are aware of, or a non conscious thought/hidden belief. You have many of these fears operating at the same time at different levels of intensity, and these affect how you see the world, the experiences you draw to you, and how you handle life. When you recognize you have fear, unwind that fear to the starting thought or base belief. Then recognize God's Presence. This is the only way to transform these fears and transform your life.

Do You Know What Makes You Happy?

You always do what makes you happy. The problem is that most of us do not know what truly makes us happy, so we usually are operating from the ego. It is not what we think makes us happy but that which truly does, and He is all that can make us happy.
