They Do This For Us

I assume that most of you are familiar with what is happening at Standing Rock with the Native American (and many others) water protectors against the big oil and state of North Dakota. Please realize that we are all One --- and One with Mother Earth --- and they do this for us. This is a much bigger spiritual battle than it appears. Please send them your prayers and any support, financial or otherwise, you can. Also, there are many mistruths being spread by the authorities and the oil company. Please see below for these being exposed. During these times, it is important to keep your heart open and have compassion for everyone, including and especially those operating from pure greed and self interest. Keeping your heart open is how you can advance --- the only way you can advance --- on the spiritual path back to a remembrance of your Unity.

Common UNTRUTH #1: "There are no sacred sites in the path of the Dakota Access Pipeline." That is completely untrue ACCORDING TO DAKOTA ACCESS, who found a beautiful site ON OCTOBER 17 and was forced to reroute the pipeline, but did not notify the ND Public Utilities Commission. The NDPUC therefore fined DA a mere $15,000. So, when someone says there are no significant cultural sites in the path of the pipeline, please send them this link:

Common UNTRUTH #2: "The Treaty of Fort Laramie stops at the Cannonball River, so the pipeline does not cross treaty land." I'm fairly sure that this lie is founded in geographical ignorance. Pro-DAPL folks use the following map to say "Look! The treaty lands stop at the Cannonball River!" However, if you look closely, it clearly shows that the treaty lands extend north to the Heart River. I think they're getting the Cannonball and Heart Rivers mixed up. (lol)

Common UNTRUTH #3: "The pipeline is buried 92 feet underground, so if it leaks, it will not endanger the Missouri River...because burying it deeper makes it safer." Some of you are giggling right now, but this really is a common untruth. Some people - most of whom failed high school science - believe that burying the pipeline deep in the ground means that any leaks will just, sort of...stay underground. No. Just...no. As pipeline engineer Steve Martin recently noted, "The North Dakota Geological Survey has noted for the DAPL 'High concentrations of landslides have been mapped in many regions along the proposed route centerline.'" According to Dakota Access' own environmental assessment, these landslides could endanger the Missouri River at Lake Oahe. Further, burying a chunk of metal 90 feet deep puts significant stress on the structural integrity of the pipeline. In other words, it is damaged before it is even buried.

Common UNTRUTH #4: "The Standing Rock Nation didn't attend any meetings and never voiced opposition to the pipeline prior to the establishment of the Sacred Stone Camp." Totally untrue. In 2014, the tribe voiced their opposition to any pipeline going through the area, and later reasserted their opposition to DA.
