True Forgiveness

When we forgive, we are not forgiving something that we think really happened. If it really happened, we are being asked to "overlook" something, and that is impossible. The basis of true forgiveness looks at the act which we think is real and sees the illusion for what it is. God does not need to forgive us because in He does not see that we have sinned against Him. We have never separated from Him, although we believe that we did. This is the key to your "return" to Him.
