Expectations
Expectations arise from fear and are a way of trying to control the future. You believe that if you can control, you can keep yourself safe. But the opposite is true. Only by surrendering and fully trusting in God to take care of you can you be safe.
Expectations take us out of the present moment because they are always in the future. Quantum physics has proven that only the Now exists, that the past and the future are ego constructs and do not exist. You can only feel God's Presence in the Now.
Don't place expectations on those you love to act a certain way or say certain things to you, because they will resent that they are not free, that they have been placed under the burden of your expectations. If you drop all expectations, everything becomes a gift, a wonderful and beautiful gift.
