Victim or Warrior?

What is the difference between a victim and a warrior? There are only two ways of operating in the world and reacting to the experiences and circumstances that life brings to you.

A victim believes they are always entitled to something. They believe that they are separate from everything and what happens to them is random and they can do nothing about it. They act "put out" and complain that this person, group, organization, or government is doing something to them which is the cause of their misery. They want people to know they have been victimized to elicit pity. This is how they form their identity. Many also give their power away, believing that someone or something outside of them should and will always take care of them, never lie to them, etc. By putting responsibility fully outside of themselves, they never have to take it.

A warrior takes full responsibility for their life. Warriors realize that they are part of a whole and that their life circumstances are created by a combination of what they choose and also the choices of others which they have no control over. Even though they are affected by the things outside their control, they recognize they do have a choice in how they react to what happens to them. This recognition is where true power lies. They make the best of "bad" situations, not blaming others or groups but determining the best course of action to deal with the experience they are in. They don't try to elicit pity for their situation, but rather these are the people who are still spreading joy and love in the midst of dire circumstances. They love life and others because they know that everything is One.
