The Divine Is Both
Western society and much of the world is unhealthily skewed towards the masculine. This is why someone with power, money, and a strong logical mind is put on a pedestal and viewed as the goal we should attain, and this is why God is viewed as a judgmental and punishing male deity.
But the Divine encompasses a mix of the masculine and the feminine. We have undervalued and denigrated the feminine aspects --- compassion, gentleness, non judgment, tolerance, patience, intuition, joy, and Love.
And we have misinterpreted the masculine aspects such as power. Power means to know the Unity of all things and to stand tall in who you are. It is not to be used to take advantage of or to crucify an individual or group.
Only when we acknowledge the importance of a balance between the masculine and feminine, when we treat all others, nature, and the Earth as One, can we heal ourselves and the world.
