Those Who Forgive
Those who forgive are the real heroes of the world. It is easy to stay in anger, but it takes courage to forgive those who have hurt you or worse. What about something severe, like those who have forgiven the murderer of their child? They talk about the lifting of a dark veil, a peace that comes over them that is not of this world. This is G.I.A --- God in action.
Why would you not forgive someone? One reason is the belief that somehow this continues to punish that person. But at what cost --- your peace, your joy? Surely you can see that you have created a prison cell and you are your own jailer. Do you not offer forgiveness because you do not believe you deserve it yourself?
If Jesus could forgive those who crucified him, you can forgive. Be a warrior, not a victim, for when you forgive, you take your power back instead of being a victim of your circumstances.
