Holding on to the "Good" Times
We want to hold on to those times when we feel joyful, loving and peaceful and we feel God's Presence. These "centered" times are a blessing. But we can't hold on to these periods --- at least not in the way we think, unless we change our frame of reference. When we want to hold on to something, we also have a belief that we can lose it. This is a view of separation, an ego view. But what if we viewed our situation from a higher perspective, one of vision, not separation? We cannot lose anything, because we are One with All that is. If we don't feel the peace and joy, it doesn't mean that it is not there, which is the assumption that we make. It simply means that we don't feel it. But a funny thing happens when we acknowledge that God and the peace and joy are still within us, even if we don't feel it. We start to feel it! Because the only reason it "went away" was because we had a belief that we could lose it. When we drop that belief, you can feel His Presence, His joy, His peace, and especially His Love, all the time.
